Trio arrested on drug charges

A trio of Odessans were arrested on drug charges Monday with the help of a confidential informant.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, investigators used the confidential informant to set up an appointment to purchase some methamphetamine from Jaime Marquez, 36, at 46th Street and Andrews Highway.

Marquez told the C.I. he’d be in a black Yukon and Marquez was seen traveling on Andrews Highway in a black Yukon, the report stated.

According to the report, when the driver of the Yukon, Kara Williams, 39, failed to use her turn signal at 45th Street and Andrews Highway, a lieutenant activated his lights to pull her over, but she continued to drive for three city blocks until she was forced to stop.
