A 29-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after a 21-year-old woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound at a local motel.
According to the Odessa Police Department, officers received a report of a gunshot victim at Motel One, 2925 E. Highway 80, and found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to theabdomen. She was taken to Medical Center Hospital in stable condition.
Chris Wooten, 29, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison.
No other details were immediately released.
