Odessa American media partners CBS7 reported that 53-year-old woman was arrested at Deering Nursing Home on Tuesday afternoon for an outstanding warrant for abuse of an elderly person that happened at a different nursing home.
Catherine Cobb was booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on Tuesday, jail records show. She was indicted by an Ector County Grand Jury on April 19 for injury to an elderly person, a third-degree felony.
According to court records, the injury to an elderly person happened on Feb. 10 where she intentionally and knowingly caused bodily injury to 65-year-old Pablo Rodriguez by striking him on or about his head or face with her hand.
Cobb has one bond totaling $20,000 and was still in custody as of Wednesday afternoon, jail records show.
