I-20 Wildlife Preserve hosts free public premiere of documentary

A press release detailed the I-20 Wildlife Preserve and Jenna Welch Nature Study Center is premiering their new documentary “Playas: Land of Little Lakes” on Thursday.

This free event is made possible by co-sponsors XTO Energy and ConocoPhillips, and partnership with Centennial Park.

The evening is reportedly centered around increasing awareness and conservation of playa lakes, a vital source of water in the Permian Basin.

The public is invited to Centennial Park to watch the premiere on the jumbotron, the press release stated. There will be food trucks, family activities and explore Animal Land, a captivating light projection of wildlife at Party at the Park.

After the documentary premiere, the public is invited to a night of dinner and dancing to Comanche Moon at the Boots and Bolos Soiree at Bush Convention Center. Tickets available at nightoftheplaya.com and at the door the night of the event.
